Despite the current economic climate and below normal snowfall, Lookout Pass is pleased to announce a 38% increase in actual lift tickets sold to date vs. the corresponding time period last season. Much of the increase is due to the early season opening of November 13, 2009 vs. the previous season opening of Dec. 13, 2008. Growth trends are encouraging with a 7.7% increase in revenues and a 6.5% increase in skier visits this January over last January. December numbers were very similar. |

While the mountain saw some decrease in consumer spending, the increases reflect the overall resort experience
Sandpoint, ID %u2013 Schweitzer Mountain Resort saw a lively holiday period and couldn%u2019t have asked for better weather. Snowfall after snowfall, interceded by moments of blue skies kept visitors happy and coming back for more. Though the mountain opened when predicted, Schweitzer needed nature to cooperate to get all nine lifts and 2900 acres ready to ride before opening the entire mountain. Nature delivered and Schweitzer was in full swing just in time for the holidays. |
